A cheap rural hotel facing the lake, old fashioned tatami mat area in the room with futons as well as twin beds available. Loved the view, the yukata robes provided and the ability to switch between futon beds and actual beds. The Onsen was nice and allowed tattoos for my partner. It’s close to a lot of facilities, including a family mart down the road, and a few hole in the wall restaurants. Batting place right next door, vending machines outside, foot bath out the front of the hotel. Offers shuttle service from 0800 every 30mins to and from kawaguchiko station. We also utilised the hotel’s bike hire and used electric assist bikes for the day for ¥3000 each.

Amazing view of Mt Fuji and the surrounding mountains. The beds were comfortable, and the room was very spacious, and the price was very good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would stay again in a heartbeat

We spent four nights at the property. It was a great base for various outdoor activities around Fuji as it is very conveniently located. The rooms (although dated and a bit worn-out) are huge, so it felt more like having an apartment than a hotel room. Huge rooms are super useful for adventure travellers. The property also has a cosy onsen which makes sleeping a delight.

The staff was very friendly and yes, the hotel is very old, but it gives an interesting vibe for the ones that look for it. There was everything you need in the room or in the lobby, there was a washing room as well (for clothes). Onsen area was nice too, keep in mind it is men and women separate. We had a huge room with tatami area, a closet and a view to the lake. The other side of the hotel is supposed to have a view to fuji, but it was cloudy so uou couldnt see it anyway :) hotel has a shuttle service at certain hours, so be sure to ask and reserve.

MY CHILDREN LOVES IT! --> not many hotel having this kind of size with still affordable price like Shiki no Yado tho! - Super clean! - It's easy to take a red line bus, since the stop only in front of the hotel - I arrived around 1.45pm and the hotel let us do early check-in and gave us the key right away! - There are shuttle bus from and to the hotel from kawaguchiko station - The onsen soooooo comfy!! - The park located in front of the hotel just really beautiful - Only walking distance to convenience store

The location was excellent! We were right across the road from Lake Kawaguchiko and there was a bus stop right out the front. The view was amazing too - We had incredible views of Mount Fuji from our room! The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The free shuttle to and from Kawaguchiko Station was so helpful - it saved us so much money getting to and from the station. The room was huge, with twin beds and a tatami area that could have been used for up to four futons! There was so much space, it was great.

Old hotel, room space just nice choose with tatami bed. Free shuttle provided from Kawaguchiko station to the hotel with time provided. Arrived an hour earlier so we have to wait and then only called the hotel to pick us up. Would be better if the shuttle service is available at any time. 1 pillow provided for each bed and asked for extra pillows. Good surrounding, next to Kawaguchiko Herb Hall , mosque (can get halal food here) and La cremia ice cream shop. Bicycle rental is available here. Staffs are helpful and friendly

The location of the hotel is on an early develop side of the lake, therefor the hotel is considering old but it still fully functional. The building is facing east toward the lake and Mt.Fuji is behind the hotel. Futon (Japanese style bedding) is good and clean. There were no breakfast included but you can buy a breakfast set for 500 yen, and it's not available everyday. They're also rules and regulation to follow, just like every hotel in Japan. The nearest Lawson is 7 minutes walk from the hotel. The best thing I like the most is the local wine cellar at the hotel lobby. You can taste the local wines of choices for a reasonable price.

The hotel was clean and comfortable albeit a bit dated. Its location across from the lake and close to the railway station was excellent and the shuttle service provided a real bonus. And the view - when Mt Fuji wasn't covered in cloud the view of the mountain from our bedroom was magnificent. You just couldn't stop looking at it. We also loved the traditional Tatami area featured in our room.
